Walking / Treasure hike 10b: Svansjökläppen

A hike in high alpine terrain suitable to families and others who prefer a shorter walk but still something out of the ordinary. The walk is rather steep uphill in the beginning but levels out gradually.

A hike the summit of Mount Svansjökläppen is a great experience. The path leads from the upper part of the parking area, making its way up the steep south-eastern part of the hill. The view from the summit is simply glorious; various lakes, rivers and waterfalls in this high alpine environment. This is a true treasure in Funäsdalen. Return the same way.to

InformationTake the road leading west between Hamra and Fjällnäs. 300 metres before Andersjöåfallet (in itself worth a visit) there is a gravel road turning left (southbound) to Svansjökläppen. This is a privately owned toll road; the fee SEK 30 should be paid on the right side of the road in a cabinet by a red barn in the direction of the falls. Open the barrier and drive up to ‘Fjällparkeringen’ at Svansjökläppen.
